I am still b/f'ing my 6 month old and whether it makes them saggy is an age old question. Lol, The pencil test is that if you put a pencil under your breast and it stays there you have saggy boobs!!! Rubbish in my opinion, I would imagine Jordan can keep a pencil under her boobs! I hope you do choose to BF though its a great thing to do if you can. I would deffo go speak your concerns to a processional they will be able to answer your questions better and with facts as everyone is different so we cant say for sure Hun. I wouldn't turn down a boob job if the chance arose but I can live with em lol I honestly struggled after having my first with the change to my body but I also had PND now after my fab DS and a better mental state I honestly don't care. I now have to watch weight (had great metabolism before kids) I have terrible stretch marks, I have a very attractive muffin top :s, my boobs sag and I the bladder of a baby! But that's just my sacrifice for the joys of having my children. My boobs are terrible but I don't care as I love my babies and I'm a mother now they totally changed my body. But like others have said your milk is gonna come through any way. I think it is just a case of you are not going to know what will happen without a crystal ball as every woman is different, there are lots of different things to factor in too, bust size, age, family history etc - can you ask your mum about hers? (only saying that as mine did the same as my mums)Īnyway congratulations on your pregnancy, try concentrate on enjoying it rather than what will happen to your boobs:hug:Ĭan you make a appointment with your surgeon or the gp and ask them? I would have thought because you had surgery that they wont sag as you've already had the work to fix the problem. Impossible! so personally I blame my sagginess partly for that (other part is just age, will be 40 next year eek) They do sag a bit now (even when full) but not to the extent you describe (that must have been awful for you ((HUGS))) Most of the sagging actually came about IMO from wearing non-wired bras in PG & while BF, I was large to start with (D/DD before DD1) and during this last PG I went up to a G/GG & am now a GG/H, try finding a wired maternity or feeding bra & then try finding it in a 36H. My bust size has increased by a cup size during PG and another during feeding, they seem to stay the same size after feeding stops too. I can only say what happened to me, but as a PP has said all ladies differ. I BF all 3 of my babies, DD1 for a few weeks, DD2 for 3-4 months & am still feeding DS (he is 5 1/2 months). Im so confused - all i have is past experience to go by and the mess BFing left my breasts in before, so i dont know what to believe. ![]() Others say that BFing makes no difference to your breasts whatsoever.Īnd some say that its pregnancy that makes your breasts sag and that whether you FF or BF your boobs will look the same afterwards. Some say YES, breastfeeding DOES cause your breasts to sag (the effects of which are most noticeable when you stop BFing obviously) I've read conflicting views online about the effect of breastfeeding on the breasts: I know some may think im very shallow, but the self hatred is so strong it almost ruined my life. ![]() ![]() I've very low self-esteem and negative body image problems as it is, and i couldnt go through the same thing again as last time, and cant afford any more breast ops to correct any potential 'damage'. Im now 15wks+4 pregnant and would love to breastfeed again but im terrified the same thing will happen to breasts. I was practically suicidal before my op, filled with self hatred and disgust. My confidence was rock-bottom for years, until i finally saved enough money 3 yrs ago to have a breast uplift to remove the excess skin and small implants to reconstruct a normal looking breast. like a ping-pong ball in a sock! My breast filling just disappeared and left me with practically empty, hanging boob-skin where my boobs once were (sorry TMI:yuk:). ![]() I had large, droopy but full breasts before breastfeeding my 1st child many yrs ago - but when i stopped breastfeeding (after 3-4months) they shrivelled up into empty, disgusting 'granny boobs'. I know this may sound selfish, but im terrified of my breasts sagging again. Q: DOES BREASTFEEDING CAUSE BREASTS TO SAG?
